Marjorie soooo wants to be given the instant recognition of always being referred by her three initial name (even though she’s no longer Mrs. Greene cause I guess he finally had enough of her cheating and all the rest of it and divorced her) like her perceived nemesis, AOC. She wants to be the right wing AOC, but AOC is actually very bright, well educated, young, and very pretty, and Marjorie is none of that. Yet she tries so very hard to get AOC to notice her antics and engage her, to “debate” her….it’s weird the obsession Marjorie has with her fellow congressional representative….maybe she just wants to fuck her, who knows? AOC mostly seems to just ignore her and not feed the troll. The republicans have gotten extremely weird in the time of Trump.
It makes politics so much more enjoyable. I see MTG and think the same thing. DEI is Dale Earnhardt inc, as well to me which really irritates the "Didnt Earn It" crowd.
I know her actual name and I still just read Magic The Gathering out loud in my head. Neanderthal Sarah Palin isn't going to rewrite the acronyms for me.

I don’t watch the news and I pay very little attention to politics. It’s a peaceful life. This is the most “political” interaction I’ve had in a while and I have basically been ignoring the people who have given political responses to this, especially if it didn’t answer my question.

Eh, I disagree. In a world of shorthand and typing on phone keyboards, most people aren’t going to go to the lengths to type the colon, and would rather just MTG. Source - me who doesn’t want to type the colon.
Then we all get to wonder whether the acronym is for Marj or a game, and folks will have to ask what the commenter meant since they think of it as a reference to Magic despite the political context. 🤷♂️
I'm not going to lie, every time I see MTG I think the same, even if I KNOW it must be something else. Then I take an embarrassingly long time figuring it out.
I get you. A few months back, i kept hearing about pink water flask and i felt clickbaited everytime. As a Canadian, i really hated the Stanley Cups craze.
