Is this the girl he's cheating on his wife with? Laura Loomer?

Trump is allowed to be bad. It could not be more clear.

u/yowzas648 5d ago

That’s because we know his character and what he stands for. Or at least that’s what conservatives were saying in the spin room as to why it was bad for Kamala to dodge questions, but fine for Trump.

u/ericmm76 5d ago

And it just speaks to our character as a nation to the fact that so many of us are choosing to vote for a man who represents a desire to be more greedy, hateful, and ignorant. Who derides expertise. A man who says, "Your worst self is your best self and you should never try to be better."

u/Hardcorish 5d ago

This is the real takeaway and I wish more people understood it. Trump is only several years away from death if he's lucky, but the people who vote and support him aren't going anywhere. This is who they are and they'll gladly support someone who is just as, if not more corrupt and morally bankrupt than Trump.

6

u/AutistoMephisto 5d ago

Yes. They support him not in spite of, but because of, his irredeemable shitty character. He is everything his supporters aspire to be. The only difference between him and one of his supporters is that he was born into money and connections.

Not just allowed. Trump being an asshole is representation for his voters.

5

u/Brendan_Fraser 5d ago

He is to his voters what Ryan Gosling is to redditors and guys in their early 20s.

He’s just like me fr

u/SNRatio 5d ago

A lot of his base is living vicariously through him. They give him license to do the things they want to do but can't because reasons.

u/lunartree 5d ago

Normal people do the right thing because they have a moral compass. Evangelical Christians do the right thing because an all powerful dictator in the sky will send them for eternal torture if they don't. If that's the basis of your morality then depravity is kinda hot, the more disgusting the more exciting.

13

u/wenger_plz 5d ago

He's not just allowed, his cult followers love it. The evangelicals will continue to find a way to still justify voting for him, and his approval rating will go up with the rest of his base.

10

u/tomdarch 5d ago

His fans want him to be a racist, cheating, lying, scummy bully.

3

u/AMildPanic 5d ago

if it upsets anyone to the left of Reagan then it's Good. that's the entire platform of the average Republican voter.

u/RedDogGrim 5d ago

He’s that kid in grade school who always causes trouble but never really gets in trouble for it because the teachers and everyone have come to expect it, even to the point where some folks find it funny and in character now. But if a good student (in this case Kamala) does something wrong they lose all faith because she’s supposed to be better.

u/devilmaskrascal 5d ago

Trump has always been bad, so low expectations are built in. It's good to be a celebrity and "not a politician" if you want to get away with bad behavior.

1

u/LakediverTx 5d ago

Also, he's male. Don't you know women are supposed to be paragons of virtue?

1

u/Obvious-Review4632 5d ago

His appeal is in being a piece of shit.

u/Brainvillage 5d ago

Conservatism in groups and out groups blah blah blah

6

u/Silent_Cress8310 5d ago

They are eating our cats and dogs. Abortions after birth are legal in four states. Victor Orban is a great leader. Six bankruptcies. 34 felony convictions.

It is a cult. He can do anything he wants to and they will excuse it, and even glorify it. The diaper wearing, the sperm cups ... the fake ear bandages. It is a cult, he is the leader, and when he is gone, they will be lost for a long time.

If the thousand other things that are disqualifying about him didn't convince someone, they are unlikely to be convinced by him being pleasured by Laura Loomer. If they did it in the middle of Times Square, he wouldn't lose a single vote. They are a cult.

u/InjusticeSGmain 5d ago

Well, you know how people aren't surprised when the main villain does something terrible because the plot needs him to make it clear to the audience that he's the bad guy?

3

u/SandwichAmbitious286 5d ago

He's been tactically positioning himself like this for decades; it's his only skill. He normalizes the awful shit he does so damn well, it just rolls off our backs now.

Patton Oswalt summed up the news cycle of Donald Trump. You're walking with friends and see some homeless guy is crapping on the sidewalk. You come up with the perfect joke and as you start to tell it you see the homeless guy has molded the crap into a hat and is putting it on, rendering your joke irrelevant.

This isn't even the first time this year he's had a woman on his side. Remember when Alina Haba was showing up with him everywhere? Following the logic of Patton Oswalt's joke it could be said Alina was the poop, Laura Loomer is the poop hat.

Obama couldn’t even wear a tan suit. Harris can’t even wear earrings. They would have both been DESTROYED over this, but somehow the right just….what, is pretending this isn’t happening? Because truly how can they explain this away lmao

2

u/BKtoDuval 5d ago

For real. honestly I wish democrats would stop trying to take the high road. Fuck that. Blast this shit everywhere.

1

u/SomeVelveteenMorning 5d ago

Nah man... Harris standing that close and looking up to Trump like that would be something out of some twisted Stephen Miller election fan fiction where he has her saying "Yessa Massa" a lot.

1

u/Servbot24 5d ago

Because everyone already knows Trump is a sleaze bag. Him having an affair is actually a lot better than what he is usually doing, sexually assaulting women.

1

u/Chronite39 5d ago

Haven't they already tried? I think it was a little more than a month ago that the Fox News crowd was screaming about Harris' husband cheating while in a previous relationship. It didn't stick for obvious reasons, but they certainly tried for a hot minute.

1

u/tendollarstd 5d ago

Locals around me are already calling her a whore. It's absolutely bonkers some of the shit I've seen them post after the debate. No substance just absolute nonsense.

You don't have to imagine. Look back to the Clinton impeachment. The impeachment itself was over the fact that he lied under oath... but there were SOOOOO many republicans protesting Bill Clinton based on the idea that it was representative of the moral decay of America... yet here we are with Trump having a huge Christian base that doesn't care how out-of-character for a model Christian he acts.

The same people that complain about "cancel culture" but had no issue with "satanic panic" bullshit, McCarthyism or "concerned Christians" protesting Harry Potter in the 90's as a conduit for children to get into devil worship.

u/Invisible_assasin 5d ago

I see your point, but imagine any other candidate was shot at a rally. We moved on so fast from that episode……Biden was getting pushed out at same time his opponent is getting shot? Nothing to see here folks, keep it moving. Here’s bright shiny thing to look at…..

1

u/CraigArndt 5d ago

This is by design.

The Trump and current republican plan is overwhelm the news cycle so nothing sticks anymore.

If you remember 8 years ago there was backlash for a lot of Trump stuff but Trump wore people down by having a new controversy every 24 hour news cycle. Now people get outraged at every controversy but never do anything because by the time anyone could organize any response there have been 3 new controversies and the public have moved on.

Even this thread. People are talking about the fact he’s probably cheating on his wife and not the fact that he was shot at a month ago but shows no wound. Or that he’s the likely John Doe 174 in the Epstein case and raped a 14 year old. Yet Howard Dean was dropped as a presidential candidate years ago because he said “yeee haw” in a weird moment.

1

u/azrolator 5d ago

I hear he puts out.

1

u/slim-scsi 5d ago

the guy bragged about grabbing women by the hoo-ha and being allowed to do anything he wants -- before the 2016 election!

1

u/NotsoGreatsword 5d ago

Can you imagine the backlash if they photoshopped Harris into porn scenes where she is blowing some dude?

Oh wait that is half their strategy at this point.

0

u/TacoBMMonster 5d ago

There's no way Harris would caress Laura Loomer like that.

0

u/PlateProfessional986 5d ago

Remember when Bill Clinton got a BJ from Monica in the Oval office??? MSM and the Dems were like, Ok? So what?

0

u/Scared_Flatworm406 5d ago

Wdym? Kamala has definitely hugged people before lol. Many times. I haven’t seen any backlash have you?

-6

u/Spadowskis__Mop 5d ago

I’d posit that this is due to a lack of evidence. You really think that this wouldn’t be a national headline if it were true?

Trump farting during a hearing ruled headlines for a couple days. Can’t we continue focusing on stuff that Trump has verifiably done? Not saying this isn’t true- but the only evidence I’ve seen is some tweet and a few pictures posted on Reddit.

Reddit, as a whole, does not have a good investigative track record. Maybe leave that to real journalists.

10

u/LineAccomplished1115 5d ago

Yeah, the Trump/Loomer thing is just speculation.

But we know Trump has cheated on all three of his wives. We know he has kids with all three of his wives.

Can you imagine the (additional) racist and sexist attacks Harris would face if that applied to her?

Let me put it this way, they wouldn't be saying she isn't black if she had 3 baby daddies

-2

u/Pandamonium98 5d ago

Because it’s just a conspiracy at this point until there’s any actual evidence

2

u/Jaerba 5d ago

You know that wouldn't stop Fox News from running with it.

0

u/Pandamonium98 5d ago

So our standard should be “well Fox News would do it, so….” ??

1

u/Jaerba 5d ago

Their post didn't say, "This should be everywhere!"  It said, "Imagine if the sides were reversed."
