Please vote for me, pretty please! I’ll cut that price in half I promise, please keep me out of jail, I mean I’ll lower these prices for you.

☝️ Former RNC Chairman

39

u/Zealousideal_Fuel_23 1d ago

RNC Chairman that was elected after Obama's election and then ran out of town by the Tea Party - MAGA

u/Haunting-Ad788 1d ago

Wonder what they didn’t like about him.

16

u/thiccgreenlines 1d ago

I’m wondering the same thing, could be the color of his tie?

5

u/NMB4Christmas 1d ago

Something about him wasn't quite white.

1

u/Ok-Ratic-5153 19h ago

He reminds me of Mitt Romney - conservative w/o the maga bits

20

u/xpacean 1d ago

And this guy's no moderate. He's a conservative who understands how bad Trump is for the state of this country.

2

u/sixtus_clegane119 1d ago

When he says he has better choices for president, is he voting Kamala?

2

u/farmfriend256 21h ago

He's officially endorsed her. So I would assume so.

I don't get it. Regulating the price of groceries = communism, but regulating the price of car insurance = not communism?

29

u/thiccgreenlines 1d ago

It still blows my mind that someone making under $500mil would consider voting for this guy.

7

u/birchskin 1d ago

Because they look at shit like this and take it at face value. Also they are perpetually very scared and almost all of what Trump says is to scare people who don't know any better into voting for him.

States already regulate auto insurance a ton. Some stricter than others but premiums have to equal a certain amount. The insurer really makes money by investing the premiums over time

5

u/stokedlog 1d ago

Not only that but many insurance companies are actually paying out more in claims than the premiums they bring in. This is why many carriers are exiting the market especially in home and auto. It is worse in states than others.

Unless you are going to tell me that he is going to help climate change, help reduce the price of homes and cars and change our legal system there is no way besides the government becoming becoming the insurance company like flood insurance. That program through FEMA is over $6 billion in the red.

u/Wil420b 21h ago

And wanting to gut the law, that allows Medicare to negotiate some drug prices. So that Americans pay by far the highest drug prices in the world.

BREAKING: Under Donald Trump's plan for America, he will raise your insurance costs by 36%

1

u/rdksbl 23h ago

This is the real take away. Probably in his mind he's thinking he's offering to cut the price of insurance in half.

Literally though, he's not promising to cut prices, just promising to cut the rate at which it will increase.

1

u/LavenderGwendolyn 21h ago

That’s how I read it. “It’ll only be up by 36.5% next year!”

17

u/bill_wessels 1d ago

he doesnt have a plan per say, just a really good concept. people say sir thats the best concept

2

u/NMB4Christmas 1d ago

Emphasis on the "con".

1

u/birchskin 1d ago

There's a giant faucet in Ohio that they use to set insurance prices. It takes a long time to turn and right now all the insurance premiums are going right into the Great lakes. If he gets elected day 1 he's going to turn that faucet so that insurance is down 50%. If he doesn't get elected? World war 3, with GEICO in the axis of evil.

u/afellowchucker 1d ago

lol what’s is next empty promise going to be? “If you elect me everyone gets a free soda from the vending machine!”

8

u/BeeDee_Onis 1d ago

Liberty-Biberty!🤡

7

u/Topher92646 1d ago

DonOld obviously is ignorant of the fact that the McCarran-Ferguson Act of 1945 returned the regulation of insurance back to the individual states, not the federal government!!

6

u/MagicianHeavy001 1d ago

Is he running for President of Insurance? JFC

7

u/ImJacksAwkwardBoner 1d ago

Soda machines in every classroom! Early dismissal on Fridays! Vote for me for class president, we’ll have Dominos for lunch every day!

This idiot will say anything at this point to win votes.

6

u/mostsurrealtime 1d ago

So... it will still be up approx 35%...

I'm finding it hard to see how this is a win.

6

u/Available-Elevator69 1d ago

Id rather you fix Social Security for the Older Generation and lower Medical costs. I can pay my Car Insurance now, but when I'm older I want to make sure the money I put it is still there.

However, we all know your full of it.

2

u/Such_Maybe6470 1d ago

Fucking idiot

2

u/CassadagaValley 1d ago

Is that just a random number? My car insurance has gone up like, $10 (I think?) over the last three years

2

u/Far_Enthusiasm1885 1d ago

Come on down to Crazy Donnie's!

2

u/BusyBeth75 1d ago

He had literally no control over insurance.

1

u/frisbethebutcher 1d ago

Dudes going to have to go after streaming services raising prices before anyone gives a shit.

1

u/combover78 1d ago

should've ended that with "besides, I called Geico."

1

u/RW-One 1d ago

Only a matter of time before he offers checks for votes directly....

But your checks are not worth the paper they're made of ...

1

u/EmptyMarsupial8556 1d ago

Believe it or not

1

u/mostdope28 1d ago

How will you cut it in half?

I have a concept of a plan- trump

1

u/loveypower 1d ago

just blanket statement lies. sheesh, he has no depths he won't go to.

1

u/Audrin 1d ago

Man I sure wish Biden would press the oval office 'cut car insurance in half' button.

1

u/east_van_dan 1d ago

I thought he didn't want/need votes anymore?

1

u/metforminforevery1 1d ago

This is like the kid in elementary school running for president saying they’ll make homework illegal

1

u/biggstack 1d ago

Posted on Twitter I see. How's that DJT stock doing lately?

1

u/blacksunshineaz 1d ago

So if we vote for Trump insurance will go up 36.5%?

1

u/KitsBeach 1d ago

So he's admitting he will raise automobile insurance prices by 36% once he's in office? That's a stupid thing to campaign on.

1

u/cassandradancer 1d ago

Michael Steele 😻

1

u/Vic3200 1d ago

So your insurance will still go up 37.5%.

1

u/ConsciousReason7709 1d ago

It blows my mind that anyone takes Trump seriously. He’s a pathological liar.

1

u/lallapalalable 1d ago

My insurance is exactly the same rate it's been for ten years though?

1

u/Labradorlover67 1d ago

He's scraping the bottom of the barrel. He sounds like a low-budget car salesman.

1

u/Smaynard6000 1d ago

Sooooo... he's promising to raise my insurance by another 36.5%? He can fuck all the way off.

1

u/Mec26 1d ago

It is?

Did… did my rate go up several more % overnight, or is he on BS?

1

u/Thorn_Within 1d ago

It's sad that a lot of people will see this thinking about that evil Commie Marxist Kamala and have no qualms about Bone Spurs actually using the government to control prices and manipulate markets.

1

u/vabch 1d ago

I only noticed he did not mention flood insurance and he lives in Florida. He only protects the wealthy. Insurance companies don’t listen to him. He is a minority that’s it. A orange man needing a orange suit, in the land of oranges.

1

u/squidyj 1d ago

Trump promises 36% increase to auto insurance rates.

1

u/AGINSB 22h ago

Republican plan for lowering insurance prices: limit the amount you can collect when you sue so that you aren't actually made whole again.

1

u/mitchsn 20h ago

He has a concept of a plan for doing this too
